Crossroads project receives boost from Trust

The Bishopthorpe@Crossroads project has been the long term project supported by the Trust over the past year. It has used its own (or rather village )money along with a grant from the City of York Council to support a project group that has resulted in a competition for design ideas. You can download and read the Trust report to the Council on progress here.

At its recent meeting the Trust pledged a total of £8000 overall to the project. It proposes the following outline of actions:

  • A publicity campaign based upon the outcomes of the design competition
  • Development of a funding strategy and the commencement of fund raising
  • Identification, through a project building workshop, of stakeholder and other commitment to the project and the resources available
  • Working with CYC to develop detailed feasibility studies using a 2005-2006 Ward grant
  • Allocation of Trust funds towards a specific component of the project.
