Transdev (Harrogate & District) has announced that it will cease to operate buses on the X54 York - Knaresborough - Harrogate route. It will stop on Tues. 15th Dec.
On its website, Transdev claims that a cut in the subsidy for Over 60's bus passes means the route is no longer economic.
Harrogate Coach, which also operates a bus on this route, is believed to be considering whether it, too, should continue.
