York - Harrogate Express

Harrogate Travel (providers of our local 21 service) now run buses on the York-Harrogate route in addition to those run by Transdev.

Both companies observe the same route and stops except that Transdev buses take in Poppleton.

Tickets are not interchangeable between the two companies.

The companies publish separate timetable leaflets covering their own services only. The excellent local volunteer bus info. service on  http://getdown.org.uk/bus provides a comprehensive and printable timetable

Passengers from Bishopthorpe sometimes change buses at Blossom Street. They should be warned that there is a tendency for drivers from both companies to turn into Blossom St. from York Station in the outside lane, not noticing the occasional passenger waiting in front of the Convent. Watch out and wave vigorously!

Harrogate Coach Travel have announced that this service will be withdrawn from 23 August 2010. There will be a revised timetable on the 21 from that date as well (I've not yet seen it, but will post it on my website when I do)
