Who is involved?
The overall responsibility for the project lies with the Millennium Trust. The Trust has approved the overall plan for the project and delegates responsibility for delivering the project to Richard Parkin the project manager, supported by a project working group. Richard has agreed to become a co-opted trustee for the duration of the project.
People
The project group will deliver the scheme. Millennium Trustees and others invited from community organisations will form the core of the group. John Bettridge will ensure health and safety compliance, organise volunteers and provide progress reports to the funder; Richard Parkin will deal with all the building issues; Roy Bayles (trustee) will act as accountant for financial monitoring and reporting; Liam Godfrey (trustee) will liaise with the Countryside Agency who are administering the project until September, and thereafter the Heritage Lottery Fund. Linda Haywood will ensure that an archive of the project is created (this is requirement of the finding agreement). Martin Dudley will assist the group with publicity along with Jo Bewley (trustee), and will maintain the web site.
Organisations
Invitations to join the group and the work of the project are being made to the Junior School which adjoins the site which it is hoped can provide material from class work that can be included in the interpretation panels. The Local History Group will research and provide content for the interpretation panels, working with a designer and manufacturer of the panels.Simon Melton Photography been invited to to record the project in images for the web, the archive and publicity material. The Brunswick Organic nursery has agreed to help with planting. The Trust has also received continuing help and support from Chris Newsome at City of York Council, and is supported by the Parish Council.
