Please find below details of Bishopthorpe Parish Council members, together with their responsibilities for the 2011 / 2012 period.
CHAIR OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
Stewart Harrison :-
Is our Chairman for the forthcoming year and is also a member of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Millenium Trust.

VICE CHAIR OF THE PARISH COUNCIL
Ian Jemison :-
Is our Vice Chairman for the forthcoming year. this year he will also be acting as Chairman of the Village Hall Committee, together with his ongoing responsibilities for Field 84 and the Riverside and Footpaths.

CHAIR OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE
Brian Mellors :-
Brian heads the Planning Committee for 2011-2012, with the responsibility for overseeing all appropriate village planning applications.He is also the liaison with York City Council and the local Parishes Associations

CHAIR OF THE SPORTS AND LEISURE COMMITTEE
Malcolm Higgins :-
Malcolm is the Chair of the Sports and Leisure Committe for the forthcoming year, with responsibility for the Sport Pavillion and Sports Fields, reporting to the Parish Council. He is also a member of the Planning Committee and maintains the Parish Council section of Bishopthorpe.net
Carole Green :-
For the forthcoming year, Carole will once again be the Parish Council link to the local Police, she will combine this role together with her other responsibilities of Senior Citizen Liaison, Environmental and Sustainability issues and be the Parish Council Liaison with the Junior School.
Chris Gajewicz :-
Another new Parish Council member who has joined us after the election is Chris. She will be a member of both the Village Hall Committee and Planning Committee for the forthcoming year.

Gillian Clifton :-
Gillian is yet another new Parish Councillor for 2011. She joins us and takes up membership of the Sports and Leisure Committee together with Planning and Youth Support responsibilities.
Sandy Kelly :-
Sandy joins the Parish Council for the next term and he joins his colleagues on the Sports and Leisure Committee and Youth Support and Recreation.

Kelvin Neale :-
Kelvin joined the Parish Council recently after a position became vacant unexpectedly. he joins us and takes on the responsibility for allotments.
