"What have they done that makes you feel proud?"

Awards are given each year to two young people, aged between 11 and 19, who live in Bishopthorpe and have done something particularly hepful for:
  • Someone in need
  • Any good cause
  • A local club or organisation
Parents, friends, relations, neighbours, teachers, youth workers, employers - in fact ANYONE can
nominate someone for an award NOW!
There are two awards, each to a value of £150.
Nominations
  • must refer to something done during the current year up to December 2008
  • can be for tasks carried out at school, at work, or in spare time
  • must clearly state what the person has done and why this deserves an award
  • CLOSING DATE: 15th December 2008
Nominations should sent in writing to Mrs C. Godfrey, Clerk, Bishopthorpe Parish Council, c/o Bishopthorpe Village Hall in Main Street. Further information from Catherine Bruce (706231) or Lisa Thornton (701404).
