The Radio 2 Breakfast Show special came live from Bishopthorpe Palace on Thursday 23rd December.
Chris Evans and the breakfast show team, along with Archbishop John Sentamu, kicked off at 6:30 with a show that was also broadcast live on the BBC digital channels via the red button. And didn't it all go well? The palace itself looked wonderful in its wintry setting, and some of the outside views looking down the frozen river gave a great picture to the world at large of what a lovely area we live in.
John Sentamu came across as a genuinely nice guy, without any of the starchiness you might expect from an Archbishop. And there were real reindeer too!
