Are users aware of a new facility in Keble Park North which may attract further anti-social behaviour – the Children’s Play Area?- YES!
The play area has been planned and built without the involvement of local residents whom have voiced several concerns, which appear to have fallen on deaf ears at the Parish Council.- YES!
Clare...you have obviously missed all the trouble in Keeble Park. I also live close to the 'new play area'.Why can't the Parish Council listen to local people? There will be more problems for us that live around the park. My daughter lives in Clifton and gets less trouble than I get here!
Bah humbug. Our village needs a playground and many thanks to those who have spent a great deal of time and effort organising what promises to be a great space for our children to enjoy.
The youth of Bishopthorpe will always hang out somewhere, why tar them all with the same brush and assume they're all louts?
Thanks again. Clare.
(And I am local, my house is visible in one of the above photos....)
I agree with you Harry. The Parish Council have not listened here and made a pathetic attempt in consultation with this with no regard for local residents. How long will it be before the park is taken over by local youths?? I can answer this- not very long! We have been let down again by 'elected members'
Are users aware of a new facility in Keble Park North which may attract further anti-social behaviour – the Children’s Play Area?
The play area has been planned and built without the involvement of local residents whom have voiced several concerns, which appear to have fallen on deaf ears at the Parish Council. We have recently learnt that are to be no security gates on the area to prevent teenagers and youths frequenting the area in the evenings. This can only encourage and lead to anti-social behaviour and possible damage to this valid facility. How long before we see a further act of vandalism or arson around this facility?
This is a valued facility but we need to protect both it and residents privacy.
Would appreciate any feedback on this from local residents.
