Ok so it's not actually those Ashes but our own version - the annual Cricket Match between those august bodies the Parish Council and the Ebor Players. Now in its fourth year, teams are mixed (gender and ability) and each years encounter has been an entertaining affair with a nail-biting finish. The Ebor Players currently lead the series 2-1 and will be looking for a third in a row win this year.
So if you want to see your local elected representatives battle it out with some people last seen in public in costumes and silly wigs pop down to the cricket pitch Ferry Lane this Tuesday (7th) at 7pm, admssion Free,you will be very welcome.
