Bishopthorpe Fun Dog Show

Sunday 12th June saw the opening of the second fun dog show by the BBC's Clare Frisby on the sports ground in Ferry Lane.

Organised by local characters John Verity and Carole Green, the show attracted dogs in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and their owners.

The show raised £140 for the Hearing Dogs for the Deaf charity, and £60 was paid in raffle tickets for the Bridlington RSPCA.

Pictured below are Carole and John before the start of the competitions.

The Dog / Owner Lookalike competition was won by local vicar Chris - they both wore dog collars don't you know!
