The Spar shop on Sim Balk lane closed its doors for the last time yesterday and brought to an end decades of trading from the building.

According to the owners, the building is to be converted to provide a ground floor flat.
With the recent closure of the fruit and veg shop in Sim Balk Lane as well, there is now nowhere in Bishopthorpe to buy Longley Farm products!
