Today at 16.00 hours the River Ouse at Bishopthorpe looked like this.

The picture was taken from the car park at the bottom of Ferry Lane and shows the water level with the roadway. It has not rained for 24 hours - so what next. Apparently a moored boat was damaged by a large tree that broke its windows overnight.
As you know Martin, local flooding isn't caused by local rain. And anyway, since when have trees had windows? Mind you, I opened the door in my pyjamas this morning ...
