The Gallery
Welcome to the Bishopthorpe Gallery.
The Gallery is a place to share and view your photographs; photographs that you think might be interesting for others to view, or that might have artistic merit, or ones that you think are just pretty good, really.
As photographs are uploaded they are grouped into Collections, and each Collection has its own Entry listing. You can look at any of the Collections individually by choosing the Collections tab above, or you can choose from the options below to browse the Gallery as a slide show. If the photographer has included a description or any extra information, you'll find this included in the Collections view.
All of the photos submitted will be examined and a selection of the best ones will be highlighted in our top picks for the month.
To submit photographs for publication on the site please e-mail them to gallery@bishopthorpe.net
Include a short description if you can, to let people know something about what they're looking at.
Images should ideally be in jpeg format. The maximum size we can handle is 1024 x 768 and it's best if you can supply them to this specification, but don't worry if you can't, or don't know how to change what you've got from your camera - just send us the pictures and we'll worry about the rest. We can't guarantee to publish everything, but we'll do our best to make sure every submission gets considered. So send us anything you're particularly pleased with. If it's got a local connection then great, but it doesen't have to be of Bishopthorpe to be published - it just has to be a picture we like! And if we really like it, it could feature in the 'top picks' for the month.
