About the Club...

For over 100 years cricket has been played here in Bishopthorpe. The club
currently has two senior teams playing in the HPH York Vale League; this
coming season should see the 1st XI put in a strong challenge to bring the
1st Division title back to the village for the first time since 2005.  The
2nd XI were promoted last season so will be looking to consolidate their
place in the 3rd Division.

In addition to the two senior teams the club also has a thriving junior
section with under 15's, 13's and 11's sides so the future of the club looks
bright for many more years to come.

If you are interested in playing please get in touch, new players, young and
old are always welcome.  Alternatively, if watching rather than playing is
more your cup of tea, then there are few better ways to spend a Saturday
afternoon in the summer than coming down to Ferry Lane to lend your support
to your local team.  It's always good to see as many supporters as possible,
and hopefully we will keep you entertained with some good competitive
cricket.  The fixtures and results, along with other stories and features
will appear on this website throughout the season.

Well done both teams in achieving a good win in the first match. All round efforts bodes very well for the season.
