We are trained to respond to Category A calls by the Ambulance Service, and to administer oxygen therapy and use a defibrillator when necessary.
We only respond to calls in Bishopthorpe and Acaster Malbis as it is crucial to respond to emergencies in under 8 minutes.
The group meets about once a month at various times.
Anyone over 18 may be a volunteer.
