North Yorkshire Police are holding a fraud awareness event for the over 60s at the St Sampson centre on Wednesday 25 July between 10 am at 1 pm.
Come along if you have any concerns.
If you would like some advice then come along and speak with them.
Also present at this event will be Barclays Digital Eagles to offer advice about the use of technology.

No need to sign up, nothing to pay, just set out your stall on the day!
Posters will go up around the village advertising the event.
Do as much to publicise it as you can – balloons, placards, place of work, etc.
Don’t have anything to get rid of but love a bargain??? Then come shopping and bring your friends! Most streets in the village will be joining in (more info on Bishopthorpe Facebook page).
